Meet Richard Sparcio of MaidPro in North End
Today we’d like to introduce you to Richard Sparcio.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
MaidPro started in 1991 on Beacon Hill. Mark and myself both lived in the neighborhood and were eager to start a business of some type. After Mark had several less than stellar experiences with house cleaning companies, he thought we could do it and fill the need for excellence.
After building our first location over the first 5 years we decided to “scale up” the MaidPro experience buying offering MaidPro as a franchise opportunity for other potential business owners.
Since that launch, we have brought the MaidPro experience to over 45 states in the US and Canada. These locations total over 220 now with each of them being owned by independent and local business owners under the MaidPro brand.
We are presently opening a new location every 2-3 weeks with plans of having 400 locations in North America that represents that MaidPro clean feeling and hospitality.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Opening a business is never a smooth road. It requires tenacity, patience and strength. For our journey, we are continuously changing and improving. We consciously work outside our comfort zone so we can provide more to our franchises and their clients.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with MaidPro – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We develop the tools and systems so that our franchises can deliver a high quality cleaning experience to consumers.
We specialize in our warmth, humor and care of people. Our Core Beliefs and friendly people set us apart. We look to do business with people who are kind, caring and filled with love.
What makes us most proud is our work with children all over the world thru our non-profit MaidPro Cares. We touch the lives of children with the same love we approach our clients and employees.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We are excited to bring more technology tools to our franchises. We also continue to work on innovative marketing approaches that get the word out on who we are as a culture and brand.
We continue to refine our systems so that we can simplify our approach to our service. Our coaching approach with franchises continue to elevate as we scale up to 400 locations.
We plan on attaching ourselves to new brands and ideas that help make our franchises more successful.
