MaidPro, a residential cleaning business, has released their internal training video on Corona Preparedness to help communities stay safe during the rising spread of the virus. This is the first time MaidPro has made one of their professional training videos available to the public.
The 45-minute video covers everything you need to know about disinfecting your environment to remove harmful viruses and bacteria. The training video is hosted by MaidPro’s Chief Cleaning Officer, Melissa Homer.
“I’ve been in the commercial, chemical, and professional cleaning business for 20 years. My job at MaidPro is to provide the safest, most effective cleaning solutions and procedures for our franchise locations,” says Homer. “I work with the industry’s top scientists and have been recognized by some of the nation’s top media outlets including HGTV, The Boston Globe, A&E, Washington Post, and more.”
As of March 12, 2020, eight countries including the United States are reporting more than 1,000 cases of COVID-19. The United States Government has banned all travel to Europe for the next 30 days (excluding the UK). The National Basketball Association has suspended their season indefinitely and many major universities and businesses are following suit.
“Our reasons for releasing our training video is to help protect everyone from this dangerous disease,” states Mark Kushinsky, MaidPro CEO. “As professionals in the cleaning industry, we have knowledge that can help keep our communities informed and protected. The fact that we are hands-on in the field cleaning and disinfecting our client’s homes is something we are taking very seriously. Whether it is other cleaning companies, schools, hospitals, or just concerned citizens, this training video will help.”
MaidPro has been in the cleaning business for over 28 years, has 285 locations across the United States and Canada, and prides themselves on using the most effective and safe strategies to keep homes and families healthy.
MaidPro has detailed some tips to help keep your home COVID-19 free:
-There is a difference between sanitizing and disinfecting. Use cleaning products that clearly state “disinfectant”. Leave the product on surfaces for 10 minutes before wiping down.
-Disinfect commonly touched objects.
-Use different towels/sponges when cleaning different rooms to prevent the spread of germs and cross contamination.
-Wash hands with soap and water for a minimum of 20 seconds. Keep hands away from face.
-If you or a loved one feels ill, stay home and seek medical attention. Stay informed using the CDC.
