MaidPro announced today that it has been ranked eighth overall in Franchise Gator's first ever Franchise 100 ranking. Founded in 2002, Franchise Gator hosts one of the largest searchable online directories of franchise and business opportunities and is dedicated to helping small-business entrepreneurs identify the best options available to them in the marketplace.
In addition to placing in Franchise Gator's Top list, MaidPro is the only home cleaning company to place within the top 10 of the overall Franchise 100 listing for 2014.
Franchise Gator designed its new performance-ranking system with assistance from Rick Bisio, author of The Educated Franchisee (and theeducatedfran-chisee.com). The proprietary ranking formula primarily uses data from franchise companies' official Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs) and measures franchise quality over time by focusing on "financial stability, growth, transparency, engagement, continuity and sustainability."
To generate its inaugural ranking, Franchise Gator says it studied FDDs from some hundreds of franchise companies over the past year. Other advisors to the initiative included Eric Stite and the team at Franchise Business Review, which produces its own annual ranking based on rigorous measures of franchisee satisfaction, and Thomas Scott of the Franchise Performance Group.
