MaidPro celebrates being ranked in the top quarter on the Entrepreneur Franchise 500 list, moving up 10 full spots this year to #111. This is the 41st year Entrepreneur has released the annual list.
The franchise industry is more competitive than ever, according to Entrepreneur, with competition to get on this year’s list stiff as well. Entrepreneur reported: “More than 1,100 companies applied for this year’s ranking, and those that rose to the top reveal the latest trends as well as the companies that continue to evolve to keep going strong year after year.”
The Franchise 500 list analyzes five key areas of franchise brands: costs and fees, support and training, size and growth, brand strength, and financial strength and stability.
“It’s very encouraging and exciting to be ranked highly on Entrepreneur’s elite list in 2020 and to move 10 spots closer to the top. We first made our debut on the list in 2007 and consider it an honor to rank in the top quarter on the list alongside some of the most recognized franchise brands in business,” said MaidPro co-founder and CEO Mark Kushinsky.
Fast food giants topped the list this year with Dunkin’, first; Taco Bell second; McDonald’s third, and Sonic Drive-In, fourth, followed by the UPS Store, fifth. Many other well-known brands, ranging from Hilton Hotels and Resorts to Jiffy Lube, shared the top 25 percent of the list along with MaidPro.
To be eligible to rank on the Franchise 500 2020 list, according to Entrepreneur, a franchisor must have been seeking new franchisees in the U.S. or Canada and must have had a minimum of 10 units open and operating as of July 31, 2019, with at least one franchise located in North America. Each eligible franchisor was scored based on more than 150 data points, and those with the highest cumulative scores became the Franchise 500.
